14 Feb Economic Development Intern in the Startup Sector
The hi-tech and entrepreneurship branch of the JDA. In the past 3 years, this organization has helped facilitate the growth of the tech eco-system in the city and has increased the number of startups from 300 to 500 while quadrupling the amount of Venture Capital funding being invested in companies in the city.
Responsibilities: Participate and contribute in meetings. Research economic policies in other countries. Assist in writing content for the website. Promote Jnext events on social media. Initiate partnership opportunities. Connect and facilitate collaboration between various organizations that work with ours. Contact management and organization
Qualifications: Autonomous entrepreneurial personality. Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication in English. Organized, attentive to details. Plus: Prior knowledge about startups and entrepreneurship. Plus: Experienced researcher with strong analytical skills
Intern will be exposed to: Participation in planning, strategic and partnership meetings. Technology events including tech tours, hackathons, lectures and cocktail parties. Economic policy strategy, project creation and project management. Meet tons of startups and startup founders and learn about their companies. Meet accelerator managers, investors and corporate partners
