14 Feb Media Intern for a Jerusalem Research Institute
internship0001645 Jerusalem Institute
The leading institute in Israel for the study of Jerusalem?s complex reality and unique social fabric. Established in 1978, the Institute focuses on the unique challenges facing Jerusalem in our time and provides extensive, in-depth knowledge for policy makers, academia, and the general public.
The intern should have interests in subjects such as geopolitics and the Middle East, urbanism, and environment and society. We are looking for a person who is well organized, independent, interested in a broad range of topics, and can handle detail-oriented work. The intern will also work to optimize our customer lists, which is a task that requires some creative and systematic thinking, and would be a considerable contribution to the Institute (to be done in conjunction with supervisor).
We would prefer to host someone with experience in both photography – preferably someone who owns a good camera and can enrich our picture bank of Jerusalem (this include lots of walking around and getting to know the City by foot!) – and in writing content to promote our various areas of research- such as East Jerusalem, our statistical yearbook, urban sustainability, and more. Experience with creating video content is also an advantage.
