internship0000235 Israel Association for Ethiopian Jews
This association, established in 1993, advocates for constructive policy changes to respond to the needs of Ethiopian Israelis in the spheres of housing, employment, education and community empowerment. Our advocacy is based on research, analysis and our first-hand outreach and collaboration with community activists and parents to respond to the needs of the heterogeneous Ethiopian Israeli community from the newest immigrants to longstanding citizens and families in the State of Israel.
The intern will be tasked with taking charge of a project and bringing it to completion. This will include the preliminary research, the writing of the article, and getting the article ready to be published. Interested students will also be able to work with policy research, and translating completed policy work into English to make it attractive and relatable to the target audience.
Interest in advancing the Ethiopian-Israeli community, quick-study, excellent research, writing and editing skills, agile computer and excel skills. Experience in fundraising and conversational Hebrew an asset.
Every effort will be made to build-in opportunities to participate in their “field” activism during the course of the internship.
